One of my favorite social media interactions is when someone insincerely wishes someone a happy birthday – because it’s in the notifications – better wish them a happy bday with some canned message – without actually giving a fuck about the person…and the person they are wishing a happy birthday to – you know saying HAVE A GREAT YEAR…OR “THIS IS YOUR YEAR”…something aspirational….without realizing the profile belongs to someone who died 4 years earlier…amazing.
It’s the little things – you know.
My least favorite social media interactions is when someone I’ve been internet friends with writes his final post / final goodbye before his cancer takes over…reminding you that life is finite – but here I am updating an obsolete site…this is my life…my legacy…my very sad calling…
