I am glad that I didn’t watch the MTV VMAs because cable TV is dead and it amazes me that anyone would have watched this nonsense – unless they are 13 year olds with parent’s in their 40s who have cable – or 40 year olds who still have cable – it just makes no sense.
Award shows in general seem like an obsolete concept, sure celebs still go out to them because they are told it’s good for their personal brands or their PR, but for the most part, no one fucking cares, and they just wait to see the clickbait from the show the next day…like Madonna’s tribute to Aretha…to the outfits….why watch it in real time, we have selfies to take and dicks to suck.
What I am getting at is the VMAs only exist as an event that gets promoted on social media to attempt to keep MTV the once so relevant entity….relevant…which they aren’t. It’s done.
If they wanted to be relevant, those idiots should have bought Instagram instead of Facebook.
