I accidentally watched the news, which I was avoiding and earlier today saw the WHO public hearing, which was only funny as everyone tried to speak english badly, walking through this pandemic…
It’s easy to assume everything will go back to normal, because in theory, the virus is a glorified cold, but if you really think about the whole thing it’s fucking crazy. The country doesn’t have the resources to treat a large volume of sick, that’s basically what this is about. If it goes too crazy, the system not designed for this will collapse….
It is also easy to tap into every Sci/Fi movie ever, and assume everything will end terribly and that it is the end of the world, food shortages and people dying on the streets….all crafted by Jeff Bazos or other people who will prosper out of this…like all the evil corporations that will get bailed out to pay their CEOS 50 million a year, while their street level staff are going to be laid off, broke and forced to sell their houses.
The mandatory shut down of cities like San Francisco…is a crazy concept…so as we social distance, which in my case I yell at my wife to “STAY THE FUCK AWAY” in our one room apartment….but I do that anyway.
The Corona Virus is more than just awkward jokes everyone has to make about “not shaking hands” or being self quarantine, and as we wonder what did we talk about before corona virus, 99% of dudes surveyed will still have unprotected sex with any girl willing.
If we’re all gonna die, might as well go down getting fucked…or having a good time…I mean ever makes responsible / safe / government issued choices and recommendations.
