I am mourning Black History Month ending…seeing all you white racists going back to your day to day…like it never happened…only to wait another 11 months for it to happen again…what the hell are we to do….
I realize it ended 13 or 14 days ago…but mental health works in mysterious ways…I was lethargic, depressed…I couldn’t get off my couch…I just kept eating chips and drinking beer….I probably gained 15 lbs, which at this size doesn’t really get noticed…I was anxious…I couldn’t place it..
Then I realized…it is all because Black History Month ended….they were such good times, great times, some of our best times…so many memories, happiness…laughter and joy….then it was all over…ripped from us without much warning as March 1st rolled around….only to be a memory what was…
It’s like losing a friend…a partner…a confident…a lover and a family member…just like that gone….like the time I built a Snowman as a kid and watched it whither away as spring rolled through…there was no Frosty Situation…why had I been lied to, why was I allowed to open up to him and be so close….only the black history month version….
