I feel embarrassment for anyone who refers to themselves as an influencer…I have seen people, actual fucking people, claim their job is “influencer”…meaning they legit think of themselves as someone so important, so good, so hot, so knowledgeable, living such a great life, that people follow them and listen…that people envy them and copy them…
I feel actual sickness in my stomach, like “how the fuck does that level of narcissism or confidence happen”….I’ve had this site for 14 years, probably over 1 billion pageviews rolled through…that’s millions of fucking people have been touched by my beautiful prose…and I still know I’m a useless degenerate fuck…who is also a terrible husband, a bad planner, and all around lazy and dumb….yet these people, some with only 10k followers are like “I’m an influencer”….and I feel sadness for them.
So the good news…I’m not a sociopath….or a psychopath despite always thinking I was…because this must be empathy…and not just annoyance…
