I refuse to look at screens during the weekend because I don’t give a fuck about anything but my damn immediate surroundings.

I know there’s some documentary being promoted on social media about how social media is the devil, you know some clickbait the feature length viral video attempt, but I’ve been saying this since the dawn of social media. Why the fuck are you joining some virtual mall to make some fucking loser lizard person a billionaire 1000 times over, because you’re too fucking lazy to start your own site, community, forum…I mean you have options…but you took the easy way out…

I do see dumb shit, because my immediate surroundings involve watching streaming platforms I don’t pay for, I figure it’s a bit of a win when you’re using someone else’s account and I accidentally watched Bella Thorne’s latest number 1 hit trying to target young people to get them off TikTok…called The Babysitter 2, where her dead character came back from the dead to showcase just how bad of an actor she is, just how bad a movie can be yet still be popular, with probably the worst comedy filled with flaws, which concerned me only because kids think this kind of thing is good. I mean, if you think of big hit, low budget, clickbait comedies of the past, from American Pie to Scary Movie, to whatever else has been popular, it was just better…and not as an old guy being “oh the kids today”…but as a concerned citizen, if this is where the mental capacity for comedy, story telling, movies is ending up….20 years from now, when these 20 year olds are running shit, we’ll have some mindless shit….to be stroked out and drool to…..

Then there’s the whole reboot epidemic making a comeback because they like to build off existing intellectual property…from The Wonder Years, Golden Girls….to She’s All That….turned into He’s all that….possibly about a women who went trans and is having a baby she can’t breast feed because she got her tits cut off…I just can’t understand why they can’t do a variation of those shows, rather than a blatant rip off or unnecessary spin off…but that’s the world we are in…

Then there’s the whole potentially fake virus, control, election, it’s just shitty times out there, at least make Teen clickbait viral comedy movies worth fucking watching…

I’m not a film snob here, I didn’t get into film school, I’m just a regular dude who can barely articulate a sentence, who barely has an attention span, who gets blackout wasted nightly, and even it was a struggle to me…

So…what I am saying is the world is shit, but YOUR world doesn’t need to be shit, just turn off those damn screens and focus on the important things…like hating your wife, family, existence, debt, job and daily routine that thanks to COVID is even worse than it was when you already thought it was the worse…but ultimately, it’s all like one giant, hilarious, ridiculous TV show or movie…so sit back and watch it unfold…before you die because we all die…so make the most of it or something…
