I think the main thing that the internet did was kill local community. I mean that’s probably pretty fucking logical and obvious observation as you only shop on Amazon, but I mean on a social level…..which is probably also obvious…so why they fuck do you bother coming to this site…if my PROPHECIES are so fucking obvious….oh right, you don’t…I miss you…I miss us…where did we go wrong…
That said, there was a time when you had no choice but to interact with the same idiots at the same bars, restaurants and stores in your area….you had to spend a life being exposed to and running into your high school friends and enemies….and even if you felt like a weirdo outsider, they’d accept you enough while talking behind your back, and you’d accept them while talking behind their back….
People didn’t just go to the internet to find likeminded people to band together with, they just stayed local or moved…
People didn’t travel as much, it wasn’t about catching an Insta Pic…so there wasn’t this hive mentality of “Go to the same place, dress the same, eat the same trendy superfoods, do what the Kardashians tell us”….If I was in a new place, I’d notice different ways of dressing, speaking, acting….and it was nice to see….NOW everyone is the fucking same….
They get their socializing with low impact, low maintenance friends who aren’t their friends and who don’t care about them…or respect them…
It’s just narcissist on narcissist looking for someone to brag to…
So the more followers they have, the more alone they are, because the bigger shell of a human they are…BUT AT LEAST THEY CAN MAKE MONEY FROM BRANDS….empty fucks…
I didn’t think people in my high school were all that good, but I do think local community is probably better for humanity than these blanket “everyone the same” weirdness because it doesn’t cater to the local needs…
I’d say bring local back…but we’re too far gone…so just post your tits on the internet instead…less rewarding for society, but better than nothing…I mean you were given tits for a reason.
