HOLLYWOOD star Ben Affleck is set to propose to his sexy actress girlfriend Jennifer Garner, friends say.

A school friend has told US People magazine the love-struck couple may get engaged as early as Valentines Day.

“It’s my understanding that he’s going to give her a ring,” the friend told the magazine.

Affleck is no stranger to marriage proposals after popping the question to actress-turned-singer Jennifer Lopez several years ago.

The couple, dubbed Bennifer or Ben-Lo, never actually made it down the aisle and went their separate ways early last year.

Lopez quickly married Latin singing star Marc Anthony and the pair are set to make their first public performance together at this year’s Grammys.

Affleck is reported to have splashed out on a five-bedroom, country-style mansion just 3km from the Alias star’s Californian home.

The pair began dating last year after meeting on the set of their film Daredevil.

They are “like high school sweethearts,” the friend added. “They’re very lovey-dovey.”
