I was wandering around downtown yesterday afternoon and downtown here is always a weird experience because it’s the most bizarre juxtaposition of mid to upscale retailers, greasy spoon restaurants only tourists eat at and, of course, the peppering in of classic, grimey, Montreal strip clubs. They really are in a league all their own and by league of their own I mean they should probably all be condemned.
As always the callers were standing out front of these various establishments trying to lure in any willing clients and as I walked by one I heard one hollar to me in bastardized Montreal, Quebec French “Hey beautiful, there’s a job here waiting for you.”
I’ve never really thought about being a stripper but its good to know if my present career plans don’t work out I have options. My guidance counselors in high school always told me it was good to have something to fall back on.
