This is apparently a fashion show at Art basel for some brand….but it’s being presented as an “art installation” that Madonna’s hairy hip daughter was included in, because she’s Madonna’s daughter…and that is enough to get work…things just sort of fall in your lap when your mom is Madonna I guess…and you don’t even need those jobs cuz you are Madonna’s daughter…
That said, I don’t believe in art. It is a lie. It is all inflated pretentious bullshit. It isn’t interesting or exciting. It is more frustrating at what rich people will throw a lot of money at, when it is marketed to them in the right way.
I mean obviously I believe in “art” as a painting or a drawing that looks good or looks nice on the wall…but I don’t believe in everything beyond that…the people who call themselves artists, when they talk about the art scene, or art parties, it’s just a pile of fucking nonsense…that they need to perpetuate to make more money…
I don’t think pop musicians are art, I don’t think Hollywood produces art, I don’t think actors are artists, that’s all just commercial bullshit…entertainment. I don’t think bananas duct taped to a wall is art, it is just mocking the art scene, because it showcases how idiotic people are…and that mocking is what people with 120k are willing to spend because it’s funny to them…like “I paid 120k for this garbage, because it was put together by an artist, and is in fact just garbage he acknowledges as garbage, which is the kind of irony I like putting my money into”…like that is how deep art runs with rich people…if you’ve marketed yourself right, you’re a fucking voice, or a meme and rich people will buy into that, because they like the humor or insanity of it all…like they know it’s a banana duct taped to the wall that took 3 mins to do…and that is what makes it so great…
Artists are taking all the dumb ideas you had when you were in high school to “troll” people or to be ridiculous when it was funny to be ridiculous…only instead of being arrested or called an idiot…money is being thrown at them…so why not keep up the lie…
I have actually taken college level art classes, where I would never go to class, and just come up with the most idiotic ideas an hour before it was due, like putting a doll in a box, to make it look like a dead baby in a box, when my teacher was pregnant, something that took me a solid 5-10 mins to produce…including the trip to the dollar store for the doll who was the star of what I called my “Life” box…and I got a 9/10 on it….what a joke…imagine if I was actually in art school, and actually believed what I was doing was actually art, I’d believe my nonsense so much that I’d bring it to Art Basel…
Where Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s kid, was involved in a performance art piece simulating an orgy, you know for art, and where the media is celebrating her and comparing her to her slutty mom and her slutty mom’s sex book, because they seem to forget it’s all bullshit and Lourdes is an identity crisis scenester who’s mom is Madonna and for that reason alone gets invited to all the “coolest” parties that are actually lame fucking parties..cuz art is a FUCKING lie…but simulated orgies…happened…
