I laugh at the DIVERSITY conversation that is all over the news because I guess I have a more optimistic view of diversity. I get that the media wants to paint this picture of BLACK VS WHITE, GOOD VS EVIL, but for as long as I’ve been around Black people have had voices, maybe harder to get those voices heard, maybe it required pandering to white people, but I grew up watching Jeffersons, Sanford and Sons, Cosby Show, Fresh Prince…I listened to music from Motwon to Hip Hop, I ate food from Ethiopia and the Caribbean, I saw Denzel and Wesley Snipes movies, I once told Wesley Snipes I was going to make him a lot of money when I was drunk at a bar he was at, he had his security ask me to leave…nice guy…but you get what I am saying…yes, let’s find issues in everything, but remember TYLER PERRY fucking exists…rap music exists…black art exist…black writers exist…

That said, I’ve never really lived life as “is that a black owned business”….or “Is that a black written movie about black people”…and maybe I am ignorant…or just Canadian where we are trained to not be racists….so I never hate specific types of people or breeds of people….like one would do with dogs…ban pittbulls, save pugs kind of things…I just hated all people collectively especially the mainstream people who are totally uninteresting idiots…

I actually just find this inclusivity thing racist…instead of just casting the right people for the job, they are changing characters to be different ethnicities as a knee jerk reaction that may get more diversity on TV, just the wrong way….it’s forced, it’s basically the “TOKEN ETHNICS”…so that they seem woke…

I am all for different voices that DESERVE to be heard getting heard, I’ve always hated Hollywood, found it some exclusive club of losers who don’t know they are losers because everyone hypes them up….

But I prefer when “inclusivty” takes a cue from Norman Lear who made all those amazing black shows of the 70s…that paved the way for amazing black shows of the 80s and 90s…instead of whatever is going on here.

Do the people being used care that they are being used, instead of using the system for their own mission, like it’d kinda suck to know you are only cast cuz you fit some affirmative action status quo…
